Walter P. Zmyslowski, M.D., 85, of Worcester, died Tuesday, May 24, 2016 in St. Vincent Hospital. Born in Worcester, he was the son of Alexander and Viola (Czerminski) Zmyslowski. He is predeceased by brothers, Chester P. Zmyslowski and Ensign Alexander T. Zmyslowski, who died in World War II; and sisters, Caroline Zmyslowski and Janet (Zmyslowski) Logan. He is survived by his sister Rita Anderson of Maryland; nieces and nephews.
He was a graduate of Classical High School, Clark University and Tufts University, School of Medicine. He interned at Worcester City Hospital and completed his residency in anesthesiology at the Boston City and Massachusetts General Hospitals. He was a Board Certified Anesthesiologist at Boston City Hospital (now Boston Medical Center) for 34 years before retiring in 1993. He was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish. His favorite sayings were, "Let nothing disturb you, All things pass and God alone suffices" by St. Theresa of Avila. He enjoyed music and occasional trips to the casinos in Connecticut.
The funeral will be held with a Mass on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 11:30 AM , in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
