LEICESTER____Sophie W. (Bazydlo) Tomasino, 88 of Leicester, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2016 in the loving company of her family. Her husband Lawrence J. Tomasino died in 1989. She is survived by her three sons, Lawrence A. Tomasino of Leicester, David P. Tomasino and his wife Susan N. of West Brookfield and Mark Tomasino and his wife Valerie of Leicester; her daughter Dr. Susan Tomasino and her husband Richard Broberg of Wellesley; nine grandchildren, Alisha, Rondi, Trevor, Michael, Joseph, Elizabeth, Ashley, Andrew and Matthew; nine great grandchildren, Cole, Blake, Alex, Jacob, Nicholas, Gianna Sophia, Aubrey, Holden and Zachary; a sister, Dorothy Huff of Rialto, CA; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Chester J. Bazydlo and daughter-in-law who was like a daughter, Joan Tomasino, wife of Lawrence A. Tomasino. Sophie was born in Worcester a daughter of late Jacob and Francis (Pulaski) Bazydlo.
Mrs. Tomasino graduated from Worcester Girl's Trade school and was a longtime member of St. Columba Parish. As a homemaker she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed trips to the casino, occasional travel and Sunday night family card games. Her endless love and caring for her family will be her legacy and memory to those who had the privilege to be a part of her life.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., Worcester, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Columba Church, 18 Richards St., Paxton. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are private.
