Roger A. Clark, 73, of Worcester, passed away on Friday September 4, 2015 with his family by his side in UMASS-Memorial Hospital.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 49 years, Mary Elizabeth "Maribeth" (Baudin) Clark, two sons, Kevin M. Clark and his wife Linda of Auburn and James A. Clark and his wife Kristen of Dudley; six grandchildren, Sean, Chelsea, Nicholas, Alyssa, Kasey and Sydney, 2 sister-in-laws Karen Baudin and Donna Clark and several nephews and nieces and grandnieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Clark, a sister, Joyce Clark O'Toole and by his brother-in-law John V. Baudin. He was born in Worcester, a son of Dwight and Alice (Sanders) Clark and was raised in Shrewsbury and later moved to Worcester where he has lived for most of his life.
Roger was a valued employee of Shaw's Supermarket and its predecessor Iandoli Markets for 42 years before retiring in 2012. Roger was a graduate of Shrewsbury High School and then served six years in the U.S. Army Reserves. Roger enjoyed hockey and was an avid Boston Bruins fan, he would never miss a game! He was also a Nascar fan. Roger would often be found at Thompson Speedway in CT. Rogers's biggest joy in life was being with his family; spending time with his Grandkids, attending their sporting/school events and vacations at the beach. Roger always had a smile on his face and could make you laugh, no matter what the circumstance was.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday September 9, 2015 with a service at 11:00 am in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Tuesday September 8, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 or to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA, 01701
