Richard V. Jablonski, 85, of Worcester, died Thursday March 31, 2016 in Knollwood Nursing Center, West Boylston. His wife of 53 years, Patricia P. (Paradise) Jablonski died in 2009.
He leaves a daughter, Stacy Jablonski and her partner Dennis Laperle of Worcester; a son, Rick Jablonski and his wife Amy of Madison, Ct., their children, Richard's grandchildren, Becky Jablonski, Emily Jablonski and Samuel Jablonski and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers and one sister, Stephen and Robert Jablonski and Irene Bennett. Richard was born in Worcester, a son of Stephen and Alice (Majewski) Jablonski and has lived here all his life.
Mr. Jablonski worked in manufacturing, including many years at General Electric in Ashland, MA. He was a graduate of Commerce High School. Mr. Jablonski was a U.S. Navy veteran and served on the USS Coral Sea. He was an outdoors sportsman who loved to fish and hunt which he enjoyed well into his eighties.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday April 7, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street. There will be a brief service at 6:30 PM Thursday during the calling hours. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery will be private.
