WORCESTER____Michael N. Kucher, 77, of Worcester, died Tuesday, February 2, 2016 in ST. Vincent Hospital, 123 Summer St. He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Ruth (Carruthers) Kucher. He also leaves a son, Anthony Kucher of Worcester; two daughters, Mary Dejorge of Mooseup, CT and Nina Rouillard and her husband Joseph of Charlton; a brother, Igor Kucher of Canterbury, CT; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a son Nicholas Kucher. He was born in Vellis, Macedonia (former Yugoslavia) a son of Nicholas and Pandora (Stroimanovich) Kucher.
Mr. Kucher worked as a design engineer for Morgan Construction Company prior to retiring. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School and Worcester Junior College. He later attended Clark University and Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He was a member of the Rusian Orthodox Church of the Holy Resurrection.
The funeral will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 from HENRY - DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a service at 10:30 a.m. in The Russian Orthodox Cathedral of the Holy Resurrection, 63 Laurel St. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home will be on Thursday, February 4, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p. m. A Trisagion service during the calling hour will be at 6:00 p.m. www. worcesterfuneral.com
