Mary D. (Lozoraitis) Mickey, 64, of Shrewsbury died on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 in UMass Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her children, John C. Mickey of Boulder, CO and Elizabeth M. Mickey of Shrewsbury; brother Larry T. Lozoraitis of Cape Coral, FL; sister Theresa A. Ledoux of New Portland, ME; nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a brother Michael Lozoraitis. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of Alphonse and Aldona (Balukonis) Lozoraitis.
Mrs. Mickey was a high school teacher in Sparta High School, Sparta, NJ before moving back to Shrewsbury. She graduated from Wheelock College with a Bachelor in Arts. While continuing graduate studies at Worcester State University in special education she has worked as a Nanny. She attended St. Anne Church. She was a longtime and active member of the Lithuanian Charitable Society- Maironis Park.
The funeral will be held on Monday, August 3, 2015 from DIRSA- MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., Worcester with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Anne Church, 130 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours in the funeral home will be on Sunday, August 2, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
