Larry Lee Phillips, 64, of Worcester, died Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at home peacefully with his family by his side after a short battle with cancer.
He leaves his wife of 45 years, Francine (Troiano) Phillips, his children, James Phillips and his wife Cheryl of Auburn; Shana Phillips and her husband Scott of Worcester; Linda Glazebrook and her husband Neil of Worcester and Benjamin Phillips of Edgewater, Fl., four grandchildren, Taylor, Jessica, Jacob and Jimmy. He also leaves five siblings, brothers Kenny, Keith and Mark, sisters Kandice and Laurie and several nephews and nieces. He was born in Southbridge, son of the late Sydney and Minnie (Dumphy) Phillips and has lived in Worcester for many years.
Larry worked as an Autobody Mechanic until he retired at an early age due to medical reasons. His great love was his wife and friend of 45 years, his 4 children and 4 grandkids. He loved to go fishing with his 2 sons and he enjoyed flea markets, auctions, yard sales and his home in Florida. He will be missed by many.
Family and friends are invited to a Memorial gathering for remembrances and visitation for Larry on Thursday November 5, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. in HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA., 01701.
