WORCESTER____ John J. Potenti, Jr., of Worcester passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015 in UMass Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his daughter, Valerie Stewart; step-daughter, Lizabeth Stewart, both of VA; uncle, Fred Potenti of Worcester; brother Richard Potenti (Donna) of Worcester; sisters: Janice Mahoney (Joseph) of Largo, FL; MaryAnn Bujnowski (Anthony) of Rutland; grandson, Gionni; step-granddaughters, Ziana and Lila, all of VA; many cousins, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers Robert and James Potenti. He was born in Worcester a son of John J. and Marion (Saunders) Potenti, Sr.
Mr. Potenti was a self-employed cab driver in the City of Worcester for many years prior to retiring. He graduated from Commerce High School. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family and friends.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., calling hours will be from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm with a Mass to follow at 3:00 p.m. at St. John Church, 40 Temple Street. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
