James X. Kwiatkowski, 61, of Worcester, died Sunday Oct. 4, 2015 in his home.
He leaves two daughters, Katherine M. Kwiatkowski of Boston and Elizabeth E. Kwiatkowski of Millbury; three sisters, Diane M. Blair of Leicester; Tanya M. Vasalofsky of Sutton and Lorraine H. Dupre of Whitnsville and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister and two brothers, Jane Strothers, Nicholas C. Kwiatkowski, Jr., and Peter J. Kwiatkowski. James was born in Worcester a son of the late Jane T. (Pilski) and Nicholas C. Kwiatkowski, Sr.
Mr. Kwiatkowski worked as a certified Massachusetts Driving Instructor for the Blackstone Valley Auto School in Whitinsville. Previously he worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Shift Administrator for the Department of Youth Services and as a Research Supervisor for the Superior Court Department. James was once a General Contractor and owned Remodeling Plus. He had also been a sales representative for Old Sturbridge Country Farms and Gallo Motors. James was a graduate of Northeastern University and had attended Quinsigamond Community College. He also took additional courses at Clark University, College of Professional & Professional Education and at the Massachusetts Criminal Justice Training Center.
He was a member of and had been a lector for St. John's Church and was a member of the Polish Naturalization and Independent Club. He was a former member of the Elks. He enjoyed sports, especially football. He also liked spending time at the beach and also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
The funeral will be held on Saturday October 17, 2015 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10:30 AM in St. John Church. 40 Temple St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. A calling hour will be held on Saturday October 17, 2015 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM in the funeral home.
