Chester F. Kusz, 67, of Sturbridge, died on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 in St. Vincent Hospital, 123 Summer St. He is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Susan (Kulesza) Kusz. He also leaves two daughters, Jennifer Brown and her husband Jeffrey and Melissa Nemet and her husband Brian; the prides of his life, grandsons, Payton Brown and Westley Nemet, all of Sturbridge; four brothers, Joseph Kusz and his wife Mary Lou, Jeffrey Kusz and his wife Terri, Robert Kusz and his wife Patricia and Gary Kusz and his wife Mary Beth; nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester a son of Chester and Olive (Goodwin) Kusz.
Mr. Kusz was a retired clerk with the US Postal Service. He graduated from St. Mary's High School and attended Quinsigamond Community College and Bridgewater State College. He was a longtime baseball and soccer coach at St. Mary's High School and treasured all of his players. He had a tough exterior with a big soft heart that surrounded his two grandsons whom he adored.
The funeral will be held on Monday, February 8, 2016 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours in the funeral home are Sunday, February 7, 2016 from 12:00 to 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Doug Flutie Jr., Foundation for Autism, 1001 Worcester Road, Suite 2 Framingham, MA 01701.
